AASL is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
2. Information we collect
We collect personal information you provide directly to us, principally through the enquiry form on this website. This includes your name, email address, and the content of your message, plus any other details you choose to include.
We do not collect payment information, government ID numbers, or other sensitive personal data through this site.
3. How we use your information
We use the information you submit to:
- respond to your enquiry;
- correspond with you about our regulatory training and consultancy services; and
- maintain a record of business correspondence.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process this information on the basis of our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and operating our business, and, where an enquiry leads to an engagement, in taking steps toward a contract at your request.
5. How your enquiry is sent
When you submit the enquiry form, your message is transmitted using Brevo (Sendinblue SAS), our email delivery provider, acting as a data processor on our behalf, and delivered to our mailbox. Brevo may process and store your information on servers outside the UK/EEA; where this occurs, appropriate safeguards are in place, including the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Brevo’s own privacy policy is available at brevo.com.
6. Analytics and cookies
This site uses Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit) to understand how it’s used. Google Analytics sets two cookies (_ga and _ga_*) to distinguish visitors between sessions. We do not set any other cookies, and we do not use analytics data to identify you personally. See Google’s privacy policy for how it processes this data.
7. Data retention
We retain enquiry correspondence for as long as necessary to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal information, to object to or restrict our processing of it, and to data portability where applicable. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe your information has been mishandled.
